Introduction

All Together Education is excited to announce an opportunity for an Art, Design and Technology at an 11-18 comprehensive school in Epping. This role is a permanent position starting in January 2025. The school is conveniently located just a short walk from the final stop on the eastern end of the Central Line. Following a recent refurbishment, the school boasts state-of-the-art facilities and modern buildings. Responsibilities

  • Teach students aged 11-16, including those preparing for their Ar GCSEs, following the direction and guidance of the Head of Faculty to ensure the highest quality delivery of education.
  • Actively participate in the development and continuous improvement of schemes of work, taking on specific responsibilities in designated areas to enhance the curriculum.
  • Assess and report on the attainment and progress of students at Key Stage 3 and provide comprehensive evaluations of GCSE grades and progress at Key Stage 4.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their children's achievements and overall well-being, ensuring they are well-informed and engaged.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the diverse needs of all students, including those with special educational needs, high abilities, English as an additional language, or disabilities, utilizing distinctive teaching methods to engage and support each learner.
  • Take proactive responsibility for improving your teaching practice through ongoing professional development and be responsive to advice and feedback from colleagues and mentors.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of how to assess the relevant subject and curriculum areas, including adhering to statutory assessment requirements.
  • Play an integral role in the school community, supporting its distinctive mission and ethos, and encouraging both staff and students to uphold these values.
  • Comply with the school's Health and Safety Policy by undertaking risk assessments as necessary to ensure a safe learning environment for all students and staff.
  • Be fully aware of and work in accordance with the school's child protection policies and procedures, raising any concerns that may arise during your duties to safeguard the welfare of all students.
