Are you an experienced and passionate English teacher looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people with Autism and complex needs? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated English specialist to join a highly regarded independent SEN day school in Epping.

The Role:
We are seeking a skilled English teacher to cover a temporary absence, delivering a well-rounded curriculum to students aged 11–18. The role involves teaching Functional Skills, GCSE English, and GCSE English Literature at Key Stages 4 and 5.

Key Details:

  • Location: Epping, Essex (CM16)
  • Working Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Qualifications: Must hold QTS/QTLS
  • Requirements:
    • Proven ability to plan, deliver, and assess English at Functional Skills and GCSE levels, including English Literature.
    • Previous experience in a specialist school setting, supporting young people with Autism and co-occurring complex needs.
    • A valid child and adult DBS certificate.

This independent day school supports up to 62 young people with Autism and additional complex needs. All pupils have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP), and the school provides a nurturing environment to help them achieve their full potential.
