Do you have a passion for working with students with special educational needs? TeacherActive is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistants to join our team in Epping, supporting students aged 10-19 in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated support to students with special educational needs, focusing on individual learning needs.
  • Assist in implementing tailored learning strategies and individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Work closely with teachers to create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Offer one-on-one or small group assistance, helping students stay engaged and focused.
  • Support students in their social, emotional, and academic growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with SEN students, particularly with autism and other learning difficulties.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and a caring nature.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour and create a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Relevant qualifications or a willingness to undertake training in SEN education.
