ASD Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive ASD Secondary school located in Epping, Essex border of London. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs, particularly those with Autism and ADHD.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Work one-to-one with students with SEN needs, providing tailored support to enhance their learning experience.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to meet students' needs.
  • Assist with the development of social skills and positive behaviour in a classroom setting.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of students, contributing to assessments and reviews.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for students to learn and grow.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working one-to-one with students with SEN needs, particularly Autism and ADHD.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Minimum of 1 year working in a UK school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to working with children.
  • Must be willing to undergo compliance checks and be available for an immediate interview.
  • Must have a Child and adult DBS.
