Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic SEND Teacher to start immediately on a temp to perm contract . The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of a variety of SEND needs, including complex needs and Autism, and will be adept at creating a bespoke curriculum to meet the diverse learning requirements of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized lessons and activities tailored to the specific needs and abilities of students with SEND, ensuring differentiation and accessibility for all learners.
  • Utilize a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage students with Autism and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate closely with other educators, support staff, and external professionals to develop comprehensive support plans and interventions for students with complex needs.
  • Monitor student progress closely, regularly assessing learning outcomes and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly to maximize academic achievement and personal development.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, providing pastoral support and guidance as needed to promote social and emotional well-being.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (QTLS).
  • Comprehensive understanding of a variety of SEND needs, including complex and Autism, and the ability to adapt teaching approaches accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for inclusive education.
