Audit Manager | Epsom, Surrey | Initially 2 days per week, rising to full-time | £57,500 to £65,000 dependent on experience and qualifications

Our client's company serves a diverse client base, including companies in construction and engineering consultancy, charities, housing associations, and fintech. They offer a very wide range of services including statutory audit (company, charity and unincorporated businesses), independent examinations, taxation, business planning and consulting.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • ACCA or ACA qualification
  • Practising certificate for audits (preferable, but not essential)
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Familiarity with company and charity legislation
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Xero, Iris, QuickBooks and Sage (desirable)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

What will your role look like?

  • Prepare sole trader, partnership, company, and charity accounts from client records
  • Use Iris statutory software to input client data
  • Conduct independent examinations of charity accounts
  • Be involved in all aspects of auditing company and charity accounts
  • Liaise confidently with clients
  • Prepare management and project accounts
  • Supervise Sage bookkeeping and junior audit staff and assist with other ad hoc tasks
