Client Accountant 

Epsom 

9am - 5.30pm with 4pm Friday finishes 

Salary: 30k - 35k 

Hybrid working: 3 days office, 2 days from home 

Principle Work Activities

Cash flow and banking, rents and income management, service charge accounting, financial reporting, client and stakeholder liaison, systems and compliance. 

• Managing a portfolio of service charge accounts.• Maintaining quarterly reviews of each account for accuracy on Yardi including invoice coding, contents of invoice folders and budget v actual balances.• Liaising with Purchase Ledger to ensure correct coding and to make required adjustments.• Liaising with Property Managers on quarterly basis to discuss the above quarterly reviews• Each year end account reconciliation to be commenced within 2 months of the end of the service charge year.• Prepare draft Yardi reconciliation for initial review by Property Manager. Liaise with PM on required adjustments.• Prepare year end final reconciliations for external verification/audit. To be audited within 3 months of the end of the service charge year• Final certificate to be sent to Property Manager to enable the year end report to be issued to clients and tenants within 4 months of the end of the service charge year• Invoices to be scanned and electronically stored after completion of year end audit.• Prepare interim service charge year end accounts in the event of a sale of a property.• Assist in the on-boarding of new service charge accounts for new instructions including checking handover balances and the previous owner's expenditure ledgers.

Requirements 

AAT qualified, ACCA or CIMA part qualified advantageous 

Experience working in the property management industry
