A charming country pub near Epsom is searching for a dedicated Sous Chef to join the kitchen team. This venue is known for its fresh, seasonal menu and cozy yet vibrant atmosphere, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The right candidate will support the Head Chef in maintaining the high standards of food quality and service while contributing to menu creation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Prepare and present seasonal, fresh dishes to a high standard
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards are met
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff
- Help manage stock control and assist in minimizing waste
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a premium dining setting
- Strong understanding of British cuisine with a focus on seasonal ingredients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead a team
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene regulations
- Passion for quality food and delivering an exceptional dining experience
Salary: Up to £34,000 per annum, plus benefits
