Our client, a leading company in the financial services industry, is seeking a skilled Business Data Analyst to join their dynamic team in the BI & Data Services department. As a Business Data Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding business requirements and leveraging data to achieve desired outcomes. You will collaborate with data engineers and BI developers to ensure high-quality solutions are built.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the business landscape and prioritise requirements
- Gather and elaborate on business requirements
- Analyse and interpret data
- Work with development teams to translate requirements into design
- Present data through reporting and visualisation tools
- Coordinate testing and obtain end-user sign-off
- Maintain data/report documentation
- Evaluate outcomes and identify training needs
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of business operations
- Excellent business analytical skills
- Experience with BI tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and external partners
