We are seeking a full-time Qualified ACA or ACCA Accountant to manage a diverse portfolio of clients. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in practice, who understands the dynamic needs of a General Practice accountancy firm and possesses good commercial awareness.
Day to Day of the role:
- Prepare quarterly management accounts and year-end accounts, including corporation tax returns and personal tax planning.
- Engage in client meetings, preparing all necessary handouts and documentation.
- Develop forecasts or business models for clients aiming for growth and assist with their resource planning.
- Prepare VAT returns and provide ad-hoc advice for clients using cloud-based accounting packages such as Xero.
- Work on a variety of tasks, ensuring no two weeks are the same, and adapt to the wide range of demands placed on the role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified ACA or ACCA with experience in a General Practice accountancy firm.
- Strong commercial awareness with exposure to a wide range of businesses.
- Confident in dealing with clients and staff.
- Proficient with cloud-based accounting packages, ideally Xero, Quickbooks, Kashflow.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tight targets.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
