Position Overview: 3rd Line Engineer
We are seeking a motivated and experienced 3rd Line Server-Side Engineer to join our team with the opportunity to grow into a specialized Infrastructure Engineer role. This is an ideal position for a technically skilled professional with hands-on experience in server-side and on-premises environments who is eager to advance their expertise in infrastructure technologies.
Key Responsibilities: 3rd Line Engineer • Provide advanced 3rd line support for server-side operations, ensuring high availability and performance.• Manage and troubleshoot physical servers and virtualized environments (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware).• Configure and maintain corporate firewalls and perform network troubleshooting.• Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments, including migrations and integrations.• Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft and Linux servers, with expertise in:• Active Directory (AD)• DNS and DHCP• IIS, Nginx, and other web servers• Plan and execute server and operating system migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Essential Skills and Experience:• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a 3rd Line Engineer in a server-side, on-premises environment.• Proficiency with virtualization technologies, particularly Hyper-V.• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting.• Solid grasp of network configuration and diagnostics, including switches, routers, and firewall rules.• Hands-on experience managing physical and virtual server infrastructures.• In-depth knowledge of both Microsoft (e.g., Windows Server) and Linux server operating systems.• Demonstrated expertise in key server technologies, such as DNS, DHCP, IIS, and AD.• Proven experience with server and OS migrations.
