Contract: 1 Day per Week (Preferably Mondays or Tuesdays)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert Hand Therapy services to patients with a variety of hand and wrist-related conditions, including both acute and chronic cases.
- Work with patients across multiple disciplines, including acute elective, acute trauma, plastics, and rheumatology.
- Provide bespoke splinting to meet individual patient needs.
- Manage wounds, including removing stitches as required.
- Develop personalized recovery and rehabilitation plans for a broad range of hand/wrist pathologies.
- Independently manage a caseload while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working in a Hand Therapy setting, with a sound understanding of hand pathologies and their management.
- Proven ability to assess, treat, and support recovery for acute trauma and elective cases.
- Experience in plastics and rheumatology hand therapy.
- Competent in splinting and wound management.
- Ability to develop and implement tailored rehabilitation plans for patients.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively within the department.
