Dovetail and Slate are an employment business, offering a unique opportunity with one of our leading clients in Further Education, who is looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join their welcoming team at a vibrant nursery located within the college.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the growth and development of children through play-based activities, tailored to their individual needs.
  • Design and maintain engaging and stimulating learning environments that encourage exploration and creativity.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on their child's development and daily activities.
  • Develop and deliver appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Adapt activities and approaches to meet the diverse needs of all children, ensuring inclusivity and equal opportunities for everyone.
  • Ability to create an inclusive environment that respects and celebrates diversity among children, including cultural, linguistic, and individual differences.

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 2 or 3 in Early Years/ Childcare development
  • Previous experience working with young children in a nursery.
  • Familiarity with the EYFS framework
  • Awareness of special educational needs and how to support children with diverse learning requirements.
