A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Stroke/Neuro Physiotherapist to join a dynamic and supportive team in Surrey. This role is suited to an experienced physiotherapist with a background in neuro-rehabilitation, particularly in stroke care.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will work as part of an inpatient neuro-rehabilitation team, providing specialist physiotherapy for stroke and neurological patients. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced and rewarding environment, with the possibility of an extension beyond the initial 3-month period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experienced physiotherapist to cover a mixed caseload of patients with stroke/neurological conditions requiring neuro-therapy intervention in Epsom hospital. Independently assess and treat patients, using evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning to develop care plans.
  • Interpret clinical and non-clinical information to diagnose and recommend appropriate treatment interventions.
  • Reassess patients regularly to ensure treatments are effective and discharge plans are comprehensive.
  • Coordinate interventions, providing education to patients, carers, and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records (POMR format) and produce comprehensive reports for referrers.
  • Manage clinical risk for your caseload and seek guidance when required.
  • Demonstrate advanced manual therapy techniques and therapeutic handling.
  • Manage emotionally challenging situations with sensitivity and professionalism. Candidate should have experience working with adults with stroke and neurological conditions.

Essential Requirements:

  • HCPC Registered Physiotherapist
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in stroke or neuro rehabilitation
  • Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and deliver evidence-based physiotherapy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience working in an inpatient setting is desirable
