Day-to-day of the role:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring continuity of education for pupils in the absence of their regular teacher.
  • Adapting teaching methods to suit different learning styles and classroom environments.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and in accordance with school policies.
  • Providing feedback on pupil performance to regular teachers and school management.
  • Engaging with pupils to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Maintaining a flexible approach to work, adapting to different school settings and age groups.

What do we need from YOU?

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in various school environments.
  • Knowledge of child development and progression and its impact on planning.
  • Effective strategies for managing behaviour in line with school policies.
