Our home is dedicated to providing high-quality services to improve the lives of young people in care. Our new provision, which focuses on therapeutic parenting in the residential setting, is looking for an energetic deputy manager to join its team. We are an open-minded, people-oriented service dedicated to the professional development of our staff. 

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role as a Deputy Manager (will consider senior key/support workers) for a therapeutic residential children's home in Worcester Park, South West London. The Deputy Manager will be responsible for overseeing the home's day-to-day operations together with the Registered Manager with a plan of progression to the registered manager post, managing the care team, ensuring the well-being of residents, and implementing care programs to support the children. Rotating shift rota and some weekend cover. The role requires DBS and references. 

Qualifications

  • Strong focus on children's welfare and proactive approach to safeguarding
  • Understanding of Children's Homes (2015) England Regulations and Care Standards
  • Communication and People Management skills
  • Experience in Residential care
  • Previous experience working in a role working with young people
  • Desired criteria: Level 3 or level 5 qualification in HSC but not essential as training and paid course will be provided
