We are seeking a Business Advisor for a local authority based in Erith. This is an immediate start position in an office-based setting. The role is ideal for someone who has experience in reaching out to local businesses to build relationships, enabling the local authority to provide employability candidates for various roles.
Day-to-day of the role:- Work closely with businesses and partner organisations to source employment opportunities for registered clients, including paid employment, work tasters, and working interviews.
- Deliver support in accordance with contract requirements using both models of Supported Employment; Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF).
- Collaborate with a wide variety of local agencies, partners, employers, and colleagues within the team to provide the best support to individuals.
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within social care, education, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of employment barriers and how to assist individuals in overcoming them to secure employment.
- Experience working with Supported Employment models such as IPS and SEQF is highly advantageous.
- Excellent partnership-building skills with the ability to work effectively with various local agencies and businesses.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
