Proactive Personnel are recruiting for a Class 2 driver in Erith to start ASAP.

2 Years experience is a must to be considered.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with flatbed vehicles.
  • Valid driving licence with the appropriate endorsements for operating heavy vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in transport logistics.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.

Duties:

  • Operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods while minimising delays and maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure personal safety as well as the safety of others on the road.

Hours:

  • 06:00 starts
  • Monday to Friday

Pay:

  • £16.75 (£18.77 including holiday pay) Basic
  • £25.13 Overtime
