This role is ideal for a professional with a robust background in sales Development, particularly within the electrical distribution or construction industry. As a Business Development Manager, you will drive regional sales growth and foster strong customer relationships through your expertise and professionalism.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers through effective communication and personalised interaction.
  • Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets.
  • Utilise CRM systems to manage sales transactions and customer data efficiently.
  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
  • Prepare detailed reports on sales performance, revenue, and market penetration.
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements – speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs.
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after-sales support services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales management, preferably in the electrical distribution or building/construction industry.
  • Proven ability to develop sales strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to lead by example with a focus on reaching sales targets.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints.
