- Maintain and repair the building and its surroundings, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment.
- Create and execute maintenance schedules, including inspections, cleaning, and repairs, to prevent equipment failures or disruptions.
- Perform painting and decorating tasks across the premises, ensuring high-quality finishes for touch-ups and full repaints.
- Conduct routine checks and minor repairs on plumbing, electrical fixtures, and lighting systems. This includes performing PAT testing to ensure compliance.
- Handle repairs to windows, doors, walls, floors, and other structural components of the building.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety inspections to ensure the facility meets all health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialised services or repairs, ensuring timely and high-quality work within budget.
- Manage and monitor maintenance tools, materials, and supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained and replenished as needed.
- Assist in managing the maintenance budget, tracking expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Act promptly to resolve maintenance emergencies, minimising operational disruptions and safeguarding personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and inventories, and provide regular updates to management.
- Minimum of two years of hands-on maintenance experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting, with the ability to implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, with relevant certifications to ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Salary: £35,000 - £36,000
