A small one-form entry school in Bexley are looking for an experienced Early Years Teacher to join their school in September on a part-time basis.

The Role

In this role you will take on class teaching responsibility within the Nursery class for 3 days a week on a job share basis.  The role is from Mon – Wed and within that you will have PPA/Handover time with the other Nursery Teacher. Children will attend the class on a part-time and full-time basis across the week. You will be working within the EYFS teaching team to plan and lead exciting and engaging learning activities, both indoors and outdoors. Children are able to free-flow across the well-resourced indoor and outdoor learning areas and all children attend weekly forest school sessions within the school grounds. Your role will include observations and assessments and completing early learning logs via an online platform.

The school are looking for a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience teaching in Early Years and a good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.

This one-form entry school in based in Bexley and is easily accessible by car, with good local transport links. The school is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted and prides itself on ensuring all pupils are fully supported to becoming confident learners through a rounded and exciting curriculum. Pupils in the school are well behaved and engaged in learning and there is a strong culture of Inclusion and Integration. Staff in the schools are provided with high quality continuous professional development to further career development, including leadership at all levels which includes enrolment on the NPQ programmes. Alongside the mainstream primary school, there is a specialist resource provision for 70 children with an EHCP with moderate learning difficulties. The school is well-resourced and includes a forest school, large outdoor areas, Sensory Room, Rainforest Room, Therapy Room, Speech and Language Therapist, Learning Mentors and a minibus for internal trips.

This role will be offered on a temp to perm basis and will be paid to scale from day 1 of the contract.
