Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

I am recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a leading manufacturing company with state-of-the-art equipment and machinery. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a company that values its employees and offers a great working environment. The role involves conducting planned and reactive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure efficient production, as well as fault finding and repairs on electrical systems, including motors, sensors, and PLC-controlled equipment. You will also be required to carry out mechanical maintenance when needed, such as working on pumps, belts, and bearings. Additionally, the role includes working on installations, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability. Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards is essential, along with collaborating with production teams to optimize machine performance.

Skills required for Maintenance Engineer:

  • Electrical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Some mechanical skills and understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations within a manufacturing setting.
