KennedyPearce are hiring a Finance Business Partner for a food manufacturing business based in South East London (Erith), this role will be 4 days in the office and 1 working from home. Reporting into the Head of Finance you will be responsible for weekly financial information, regular P&L forecasting and business partnering the Operations function.

The role:

  • To ensure that there is clear and accurate financial performance reporting in place each week, with supporting sales and operational information. Provide summaries of week, period to date and period end estimated performance. Ensure that key business issues are flagged and that there are corrective action plans in place to drive and deliver the business performance required.
  • Provide inputs to monthly financial pack including sales and operational analysis. Ensure company stocks are correctly valued and accounted for.
  • Support the Head of Finance in driving and consolidating the Budget and Financial forecasting process. Ensure a realistic forecast of year to go business performance is in place at all times, based on clear and aligned assumptions along with an assessment of the business risks and opportunities. Take specific responsibility for material usage & wastage, standard costing and direct labour analysis.
  • Ensure the finance team delivers robust and accurate costings for all business activities including and new customer initiatives. Represent finance in key commercial projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure that commercial proposals and promotional activities, are robustly appraised using sound assumptions and reflect the likely / range of possible outcomes
  • Ensure that capital and non-capital investments are robustly appraised and are consistent with the business objectives. Ensure that the CAPEX procedure and process is robust, understood and adhered to
  • Support the Operations function in ensuring that project initiatives are clearly planned into the financial forecast and that delivery is monitored with progress clearly communicated (eg waste & labour initiatives).
  • As a key member of the finance team, ensure that the Head of Finance has your full support in ensuring key outputs are delivered and other ad hoc projects actioned as required
  • Utilise and develop the skills of two direct reports (Management Accountants Assistant) to provide support in delivering key financial outputs and providing support and challenge to other business functions.
