Are you a passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a new opportunity? We are currently seeking a dedicated HLTA for a part-time position in Thamesmead. If you are experienced and ready to make a difference in the lives of young learners, this role is for you!

Job Description:As a HLTA, you will work across all year groups, collaborating with teachers to plan and deliver high-quality learning activities. Your role will include providing targeted support to students, delivering PE lessons, and managing classroom behaviour to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with teachers to plan and deliver lessons.
  • Providing targeted support to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Delivering PE lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers to support students with additional needs.
  • Contributing to school policies and practices.

The successful candidate will have:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience as an HLTA or in an educational role.
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
