We are currently recruiting an experienced SEND Maths teacher to work in an independent Secondary SEND school in Bexley on a full-time basis.

The Role

In this role you will teach maths classes for students within Key Stage 3 within this specialised alternative setting. All learners, who will working at various levels, require a bespoke approach and highly adaptive access to the maths curriculum. There are a range of you will be teaching. You will have a team of support staff in the class to allow for emotional and behavioural support.

The school are looking for a maths teacher who has previous experience teaching at KS3 and is open to working in a challenging setting, with a flexible and restorative approach. Experience in similar settings is preferable, along with a calm and resilient approach.

The school are open to applications from both qualified teachers and unqualified teachers with experience in the SEND sector. The role is available immediately, but the school can accommodate a notice period for the right candidate.

The School

This independent alternative provision provides high-quality education and care for up to 45 learners with a range of behavioural needs and are unable to attend mainstream settings.  The school focuses on making a difference to learners lives through a holistic approach which includes counselling sessions, Speech and Language Therapies and a range of extra-curricular activities. There is an established leadership team in place and the school is part of a larger group of specialist school settings and offers staff continued CPD, career progression and a health benefits scheme.
