Are you passionate about making a real difference in a young person's life? We are seeking a qualified and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutor to provide personalised educational support to a 15-year-old student with additional learning needs.

Remedy are looking for a tutor to work with a a student tutoring her maths and English for 2 hours a day Monday to Friday. The student is at a much lower level than she should be and needs help with her learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver individualised lessons based on the student's unique needs and learning style.
  • Support the student in core academic subjects and any specific areas of focus.
  • Build a positive rapport to boost their self-esteem and motivation.
  • Collaborate with parents/guardians to monitor progress and adapt approaches as needed.
  • Use strategies that promote engagement, independence, and success for students with SEN.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., teaching certification QTS, SEN specialisation, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience working with children or young people with SEN.
  • Strong understanding of SEN, including strategies for supporting students with varying needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  • DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
