A global supplier of specialist products and services is looking for a Finance Assistant to join them on a permanent basis.
Operating out of modern, recently refurbished offices in Esher, Surrey, this hugely successful organisation has doubled its turnover over the last three years and has a robust pipeline of projects in place to ensure it continues to thrive.
The role will support the Finance Manager and Accountant by taking responsibility for the purchase ledger, plus assisting with other duties such as sales ledger, nominal ledger and cash books. Further down the line, there may be the opportunity to get involved with higher level tasks as the organisation prides itself on developing staff and promoting from within.

What will the Finance Assistant role involve?
- Process purchase ledger invoices using a GRN based process flow.
- Review and reconcile supplier statements.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments with invoice related queries, building and maintaining effective relationships with all stakeholders.
- Ensure relevant information is supplied to the Accountant to produce payments on a timely basis.
- Reconcile and manage the GRNI account, ensuring held invoices are released as soon as possible.
- Reconciliation of intercompany accounts and payments of intercompany payables.
- Assist in production of aged creditors reports and identification and processing of payment runs.                      Â
Suitable Candidate for the Finance Assistant vacancy:
- Recent experience in end-to-end purchase ledger.
- Team player with a collaborative, ‘can do’ attitude, willingness to adapt, and desire to learn new tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- AAT studier/qualified and/or degree in Accountancy & Finance (desirable).
- Knowledge of SAP (desirable).
