Job Opportunity: Maintenance Operative

Are you a hands-on individual with a knack for maintenance and repairs? We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Operative to join our team and help keep our facilities in top condition!

• Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 (dependent on skills and experience)

• Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday on a rota basis

• Shift: 10:30am - 7:00pm, with breaks included

• Additional Pay: Extra hours for special events, including our summer gala day and open mornings

• Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays

• Uniform Provided

• General maintenance and repairs, including painting, decorating, and basic maintenance tasks

• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations

• Working flexibly to support school events and operations

• Collaborating with colleagues and liaising with visitors, parents, and contractors

• Practical DIY skills with experience in a maintenance role or similar

• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends

• Knowledge of health and safety procedures

• Reliable and punctual, with excellent teamwork and communication skills

• Friendly and approachable, while maintaining professionalism

• Ability to respect confidentiality and uphold the school’s values

• Physically able to meet the role’s demands
