Are you an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant seeking a fresh, interesting opportunity in the forthcoming academic term?

This role could be for you! LTF Recruitment is partnering with a welcoming Primary school in Kingston Upon Thames (KT10). The school seeks an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant who can provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 5 student facing challenges in building relationships, along with supporting other children with SEND needs.

Daily responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 support to a Year 5 student with SEMH needs, particularly focused on building positive relationships.
  • Working closely with children with SEND, ASD, and ADHD to support their individual learning and social development.
  • Tracking and documenting student academic progress and social-emotional development to ensure tailored support.
  • Offering general assistance in the classroom, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Assisting the classroom teacher with lesson delivery, and adapting materials to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Designing and creating engaging, sensory-rich learning spaces that promote a calm and stimulating atmosphere for the student.

The perfect candidate will have:

  • Relevant level 3 Teaching Assistant position or Equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting.
  • Confident in building relationships with individual students.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
