We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented customer service professional to join our team as a Funeral Service Arranger. In this mobile role, you will provide personalised, empathetic support to families across multiple funeral homes in the area, ensuring every farewell is dignified and thoughtfully planned. About the Role:
As a Funeral Service Arranger, you will play a vital role in offering support to families both in person, over the phone, and via email. Your responsibilities will include balancing compassionate client care with essential administrative duties, ensuring every detail is meticulously managed. You will work closely with our back-of-house teams to coordinate preparations and ensure seamless handovers to Funeral Directors for the day of the funeral. You will also liaise with third parties, including doctors, crematoriums, churches, places of worship, coroners, florists, and transport providers, to arrange all necessary aspects of the funeral. This role requires flexibility, as you will cover various locations based on operational needs, such as during sickness, holidays, and peak times. You will also confidently manage branches independently when required, allowing you to demonstrate both teamwork and individual responsibility while making a significant impact in the service we provide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, personalised support to families, helping them arrange funeral services that honour their loved ones.
- Coordinate with third parties (doctors, crematoriums, churches, cemeteries, coroners, florists, transport providers, and catering services when required) to manage all aspects of funeral arrangements and ensure a seamless experience for families.
- Handle administrative tasks such as managing paperwork, keeping accurate records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory policies.
- Coordinate all aspects of funeral services, ensuring every arrangement is in place and all products/services are clearly explained to clients.
- Prepare the chapel and the deceased for visits, ensuring the environment is welcoming and respectful.
- Be flexible and mobile across the Frederick W Paine brand.Â
