We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing IT team in Esher.
The Business Intelligence Analyst will The role will work closely with the business to understand the data, proactively produce new visualisations to support self-serve business data interrogation and ensure the entire data pipeline is fit for purpose. Advanced technical skills will be needed to ensure the data warehouse, as well as the pipelines and transformations are fit for purpose. The person in this role needs to be proficient in query optimisation to provide efficient and reliable ETL and reports.
The Business Intelligence Analyst is expected to work from the Esher office 3 days a week and work 2 days from home. They will be dealing directly with the business whilst working closely with the IT Business Intelligence Lead.

Essential requirements and skills:
- Excellent written and spoken English in a commercial environment
- 5+ years in a similar role
- Data visualization with PowerBI, Excel and SSRS
- DAX
- Business Analysis
- PowerBI data flows
- Deployment pipelines
- Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, bash or other relevant data manipulation and automation languages
- Advanced SQL
- ETL processes
- Statistical Analysis
Desirable skills:
- PL-300 Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
- Familiarity with big data processing frameworks e.g. Pandas (python) and Spark

Relationships:
This role will involve regular communication with the business, the Group CTO, the Product Management function and the wider IT team.
About The Role
Key responsibilities:
- Building data warehouses suitable for PowerBI self-serve business use
- Liaising with the business to understand their requirements and motivations
- Understanding the data of the business models to a high degree
- Proactively producing new and better ways to enable the Business to turn data into useful information
- Designing and implementing data models representing business entities and relationships
- Building and maintaining data warehouses to support analytics and reporting
- Implementation and ongoing awareness of data security measures that ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR2
- Developing and managing ETL pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory and SSIS
- Performing performance tuning and monitoring
- Database administration
- Cleaning and transforming data to prepare it for analysis

- 5+ years in a similar role

- At least 3 days per week office presence in Esher
