The Job:
- Ensure efficient first-time repair of vehicles and equipment, keeping within budget constraints.
- Conduct routine inspections, diagnose issues, and execute maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, trailers, and plant equipment.
- Adhere to minimum MOT standards as outlined in relevant manuals and publications.
- Utilise vehicle diagnostic equipment accurately, following manufacturer guidelines for electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair.
- Complete and submit all necessary documentation, work orders, and service sheets promptly and accurately.
Who were looking for:
- Have HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic experience or holdNVQ or equivalent qualification in heavy vehicle and equipment inspection and repair.
- HGV Class 2 (Category C) License is desirable however training is available for suitable candidates.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform repairs to a high standard, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Exhibit flexibility in task allocation and team collaboration while maintaining the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in working alone when necessary.
- Awareness of COSHH regulations.
Hours:
The standard hours of work are Monday - Friday, 6am - 4.30pm, 45 hours per week. On call duties will be required, there is can be adjusted slightly to suit.
