Building Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Berkshire SL4 1NJ

Salary: £38,000 per annum

Hours: Full time Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (8am-4:30pm)

The Role

This job is a hands-on working position. Given the nature of the College and the fact that its Works Team is very small, the job will entail all elements of maintenance and small project works. This will require the knowledge and experience of most building trades to fulfil the requirements needed to maintain the College to a high standard.

For events within the College and residential moves an element of time is devoted to porterage, general caretaking and sundry other odd jobs as and when the need and occasion arises and will involve some heavy lifting.

Out of hours work will sometimes be necessary as well as emergency call out cover.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experienced in all elements of Building Maintenance with good knowledge of traditional building techniques and historic building conservation.
  • To have had working experience in all key construction trades.
  • A good understanding of current Health and Safety legislation.
