We are looking for an experienced Telecoms CRE (Contractor’s Responsible Engineer) or CEM (Construction Engineering Manager) to join a high-profile rail project, focused on renewing Wi-Fi hardware across all stations nationwide. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a major infrastructure project, ensuring seamless connectivity for passengers throughout the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of new Wi-Fi hardware at rail stations.
- Ensure all telecoms works are compliant with rail industry standards and health & safety regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the client, contractors, and technical teams.
- Review and approve technical documentation, including drawings and risk assessments.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
- Manage site activities and supervise contractors during installation and commissioning phases.
- Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support during the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a telecoms CRE or CEM role, ideally within the rail or similar infrastructure sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of telecoms systems, specifically Wi-Fi hardware and installation.
- Experience managing large-scale telecoms or IT infrastructure projects.
- Good understanding of rail industry safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to manage and lead multi-disciplinary teams on-site.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
