Pro-Drive, a leading staffing and recruiting agency in the Midlands, is seeking experienced Class 1 Drivers to join their team. With a fresh and innovative approach, Pro-Drive delivers a sustainable, cost-effective, and efficient supply of temporary drivers and industrial workers to clients nationwide. As a Class 1 Driver at Pro-Drive, you will have the opportunity to showcase your exceptional skills and contribute to the smooth operations of various organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport goods/products to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Perform vehicle inspections before and after each trip, reporting any mechanical issues
  • Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, optimizing time and resources
  • Load and unload cargo properly, ensuring it is secure and undamaged during transit
  • Communicate with clients, suppliers, and team members to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Document and maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times
  • Adhere to Pro-Drive's safety guidelines and procedures to ensure the well-being of yourself and others on the road

Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Proven experience as a professional Class 1 Driver, preferably in a similar industry
  • Strong knowledge of road safety rules and regulations
  • Ability to handle various types of cargo
  • Excellent navigational skills and familiarity with GPS systems
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions, while also being a strong team player
  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of long drives and manual labour associated with loading/unloading cargo
  • Flexibility to work irregular schedules, including weekends and holidays
  • Basic computer skills for documenting deliveries and maintaining records
