- A creative thinker with sound knowledge of the latest food trends and fashions Cook the highest quality and freshest food possible.
- Ensuring all dishes are correctly presented and garnished before leaving the kitchen.
- Having an in-depth knowledge of all food items on the menu.
- Managing & supporting and motivating junior chefs to provide dishes of an exceptional standard.
- Adhering to the food hygiene & COSHH regulations Mentoring and coaching to ensure maximum employee engagement.
- Follow standard recipes and minimize waste to help ensure that the food cost is in line with budget.
- Ensuring hygiene and sanitation are strictly observed and that equipment and utensils are handled, maintained & used correctly.

DUTIES
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes or personal judgment and experience
- Assist with meal planning and menu development
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet established standards
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food and supplies
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
SKILLS
- Culinary skills: Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods
- Meal preparation: Ability to plan, prepare, and execute meals for large groups
- Cooking skills: Experience in preparing a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts
- Food preparation: Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and preparation techniques
- Restaurant experience: Familiarity with working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Food safety: Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Kitchen management: Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
