Assured Safety Recruitment are partnering with large UK manufacturing group to recruit a Safety, Health and Environment Manager for their production and distribution facilites in Worcestershire. The Safety, Health and Environment Manager will lead the SHE agenda.

 

The SHE Manager forms part of the Site Leadership Team and part of the wider UK Safety, Health and Environment Team. The Group are committed to Safety, Health and Environment and are seeking a SHE Manager to advocate and drive Safety, Health and Environment to new levels.

 

The role is both a strategic and hands on, leading initiatives focusing on safety cultures and behaviours, engaging, and educating, having real conversations as well as advocating for Safety, Health and Environment at management level. You will:

 

  • Develop and implement site SHE improvement plan, ensuring hazards, risks and legal compliance are managed 
  • Manage, monitor, and improve SHE performance
  • Manage site audits
  • Manage emergency arrangements and ensure procedures are in place for managing site contractors and visitors
  • Offer general health and safety advice across the site
  • Implement the Group SHE management system, initiatives and campaigns
  • Liaise with enforcing authorities and ensure statutory reporting is undertaken
  • Develop, guide, and manage SHE Coordinator and set up site functioning SHE committee

We welcome applicants with the Nebosh Certificate as a minimum, ideally the Diploma or equivalent (or working towards) with previous experience leading SHE Strategy and initiatives across a large manufacturing site. You will have a proven record of managing safety, environment and health across a complex manufacturing facility, engaging with employee's whilst managing a diverse range of technical and legislative risks.
