Opportunity for a Head of Despatch working for a food manufacturer who supplies innovative food products to UK retailers.
As Head of Despatch for a busy food manufacturing site you'll report into the Operations Director.
Due to recent success and business growth, the newly created role of Head of Despatch offers the opportunity to join a food manufacturer who supplies a great range of innovative products to top UK food retailers.

This role will suit a Head of Despatch professional with leadership skills gained from either the Food, FMCG, Logistics, or Distribution sectors.
As Head of Despatch, you will lead the despatch team through a range of direct and indirect reports to improve this area of the business, you'll bring new ideas and an energy with a CI focus of sustainable improvement.
Day-to-day you'll minimise pick rates, monitor and control pallets and trays, deliver a food safe and high-quality product to customers whilst ensuring that the team are working in line with all HSE policies and procedures. You'll complete stock takes, manage mobile handling equipment and haulier contracts, and deliver departmental budgets in line with the company budget and forecasts.
To be considered for this role you'll need:
- Proven Supply Chain leadership experience gained from either Food/ FMCG manufacturing, Logistics, or Distribution sectors
- Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing and Leadership Development
- Knowledge and understanding of food safety requirements
- To be capable of driving changes through a Continuous Improvement culture
