We are seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our clients dynamic manufacturing team. If you are a reliable, organised, and detail-oriented individual with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Pick and pack product for shipment to customers and other locations.
  • Organise and move product to appropriate stocking locations.
  • Perform shipping functions.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Timely handling of returned goods and customer issues.
  • Responsible for timely restocking of orders and receipts from suppliers.
  • Manage the integrity of stock as a team through stock checks, system corrections, accuracy of pick and goods receiving.
  • Move product within the warehouse as directed.

Requirements:

  • Strong computer skills, including PC aptitude in a Windows environment (MS Office: Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other software packages.Previous experience with ERP systems.
  • Valid lift truck licence.
  • Valid order picker training.
  • Knowledge of or experience with continuous improvement activities and/or Lean Manufacturing preferred.
  • Working knowledge of quality inspection.
  • Effective communication skills in both verbal and written formats.

Qualifications:

Commitment to health, safety, and environmental sustainability and improvements.
Commitment to business management system (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001).
Knowledge of or experience with 6S, inventory control systems, ISO 9001, and 14001.
