GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a highly recognisable and hugely successful global provider within manufacturing and engineering. We are recruiting on their behalf for a Junior Quality Engineer to join their Evesham team to conduct audits and quality inspections, to analyse data and identify trends and areas for improvement.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday - Thursday 08:00am - 17:00pm with a Friday finish of 14:30pm offering a salary of £30-32K pending relevant experience.

The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring the highest standards of product quality throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves assisting the lead engineer on all quality control matters, conducting inspections, and collaborating with various departments to maintain and improve product quality.

To be considered you must be able to demonstrate a minimum12-18 months experience in a similar role within manufacturing with an understanding and practical experience in welding.

Junior Quality Engineer main duties:

  • Support Senior Quality Engineer and quality team
  • Conduct audits and quality inspections, analysing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Updating and maintaining NCR Log
  • Collaborate and build strong intercompany relationships with design, manufacturing, quality and production teams in the UK, USA, China and India to integrate quality standards into all stages of product development.
  • Identify and address quality issues and defects, providing technical support and facilitating corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including EN/ISO standards.
  • Promote quality awareness and compliance within the organization.
  • Continuously monitor and improve quality assurance processes to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Junior Quality Engineer required skills and experience:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Fabrication workshop or welding experience required
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of Lean Six Sigma or similar quality management systems is a plus.
