An exciting opportunity to join our industry-leading client in the FMCG sector, known for producing and distributing top-quality products nationwide. As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of the team, covering all aspects of mechanical equipment maintenance within a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery within a fast-paced production setting.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks, prioritizing breakdowns and ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  • Operate a variety of workshop tools and equipment, including welding and fabrication tools.
  • Resolve equipment faults with limited spares, working independently to meet tight production deadlines.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to continuously improve the reliability and maintenance of the site.

Requirements:

  • Engineering experience within a manufacturing or equipment manufacturing environment, with experience in food production being a bonus.
  • Strong mechanical skills, with the ability to fabricate, weld, and operate workshop equipment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain strong attention to detail, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Solid experience in mechanical fault finding and maintenance, particularly with food processing machinery, pneumatics, refrigeration, steam boilers, and production lines.
  • PPM system experience (e.g., Shires, Access Control) is desirable.

About You:

  • A proactive problem-solver who can handle tight production schedules and unexpected breakdowns.
  • Possess both electrical and mechanical skills, with a bias toward mechanical expertise.
  • Experienced with various machinery and systems in a manufacturing environment.
