Clerk of Works

Approach Personnel are partnering with our long standing client to recruit a Clerk of Works. As a Clerk of Works, you will be an integral part of the team, working exclusively alongside high profile clients on their projects.

Duties

  • Visiting client sites
  • Inspecting work on site and ensuring that it is in compliance with health and safety regulations and standards
  • Analysing project drawings and details and ensuring works are being completed to specification
  • Writing reports based on inspections and analysis and reporting back to the team on project compliance
  • Acting as a direct point of contact for the client and contractors, ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction
  • Liaising with contractors, site management and contracts management
  • Work to KPI's in relation to dictations and photographs following completion of a site inspection
  • Work to the Quality Management System in the delivery of all services
  • Being responsible for multiple live projects simultaneously

About You

  • Proven extensive experience of working within a construction environment and in a Clerk or Works or similar role
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety regulations
  • Demonstrate a wide an understanding of the building industry, including knowledge of materials, trades, methods and legal requirements
  • High levels of attention to detail when inspecting site and work, with a strong ability to identify quality, defects and snags
