About the Role:
As a PE Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to support A-level students. You will cover a range of sports and physical activities, helping students develop essential skills in teamwork, leadership, and fitness. Your role will also involve evaluating student progress, preparing them for exams, and actively contributing to the school’s vibrant sports culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive PE lessons that cater to diverse physical abilities and interests.
- Foster a positive, enthusiastic classroom atmosphere that promotes participation and teamwork.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support their physical and personal development.
- Inspire students to cultivate a lifelong interest in health and physical fitness.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a consistent approach to teaching and learning within the PE department.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, including sports clubs, competitions, and school sports events.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialisation in Physical Education.
- Experience teaching PE at the secondary level is highly desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for physical education and student development.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that supports student engagement.
