We are looking for an Audit and Accounts Manager to join our Exeter branch at Haines Watts Western.
What you'll be doing:

Assist the Senior Management team and Directors in delivery of statutory audit and accounts preparation

50% Audit / 50% Accounts including Charity and Not for Profit Sector

Management and delivery of audit / accounts assignments

Oversight of workflow and management of team

Taking lead role on audit assignments from planning to completion

Review audit files ahead of Director review

Reviewing and preparing draft corporation tax and business tax computations including support analysis

Preparation of statutory accounts from client trial balance

Delivering information and communicating with clients in a timely and effective manner

Assisting with senior management team / Partners

Building and sustaining key relationships with clients

Ad-hoc project work


About you as Audit and Accounts Manager:

ACA / ACCA qualification with practice experience

Experience as a manager or overseeing a small team

Able to multitask and prioritise

Work under pressure to tight and conflicting deadlines

Experience managing audit assignments

Commercial awareness

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting

Excellent verbal and written communication

Experience using IRIS and My Work Papers (desirable)
