Location: Exeter

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant for our Public Sector client.

The post holder will play a lead role in the day to day running of the Development Finance team and provide a management accounting service to the open market division of the Development Directorate, including monthly KPIs.

You will also prepare statutory accounts and liaise with auditors where necessary. You will play a key role in the production of the annual business plan process.

Key responsibilities for the Financial Accountant are;

  • Ability to use and manipulate complex accounting systems
  • Present financial information to non-financial people
  • Ability to prepare statutory accounts
  • Experience of report writing
  • Extensive use of Microsoft office applications, particularly Excel.

The Ideal candidate for the Financial Accountant will have;

  • Relevant Finance/Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience
  • Ability to determine priorities and delegate effectively
  • Capable of working under pressure
  • Stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication skills.
