Butler Rose is proud to be exclusively recruiting a Financial Controller for a successful business in Exeter who operate in the legal sector.
This is an important and varied role where you will manage the day-to-day running of the finance department and work closely with the Finance Director.
Key duties will include:
- Team management of legal cashiering team
- Cash flow management
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Client account reconciliations
- Monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements
- Play a key role in SAR audit and statutory audit, liaising with external auditors
- Year-end accounts
- Continual review of financial controls and make improvements where necessary
- Other ad hoc projects as required by the business.
The successful candidate will preferably be a formally qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) although those with legal sector experience who are part-qualified will also be considered.
You will have strong operational finance experience and be a good people manager. This role would suit someone looking to make the step up into a Financial Controller role, or someone in a similar position looking for a new challenge.
