Interim Senior Financial AccountantExeter, Devon£65,000 - £80,000 per annum

Our client, a leader in its field, is currently seeking an experienced Interim Senior Financial Accountant to join their progressive team on a full-time, temporary basis. They are based in Exeter with hybrid working (2 days office, 3 from home).

As the Interim Senior Financial Accountant, you will support senior management by ensuring compliance with financial regulations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, and overseeing that all financial activities meet established requirements.

The responsibilities:

• Execute accurate month-end closing activities.
• Maintain integrity of Management accounts data.
• Oversee internal reconciliations and balance sheet integrity.
• Liaise between FP&A and Finance teams on budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure departmental compliance with legislation and deadlines.
• Update and enforce company accounting policies.
• Prepare and coordinate audit information.
• Support the internal audit process.
• Support process improvement and system development initiatives.

The candidate:

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Proficient in MS Excel and skilled in various computer applications.
• Strong multitasking and workload management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
