We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Management Accountant to join our team within Vistry Cornwall South West, at our Exeter office in Devon. As our Trainee Management Accountant, you will be supporting the Finance team and using the core financial systems, which are COINS, Anaplan and Microsoft Excel. This is a great opportunity to join a successful business to continue your career in Accountancy and Finance.

    Desirable –

    • Working experience in a finance department.
    • Strong desire to learn and be challenged on a day to day basis.
    • Good Microsoft Excel skills or the aptitude to acquire them.

    • Preparing month end reconciliations and management accounts to a draft position.
    • Completing the Cashbook and bank reconciliation on a weekly basis.
    • Producing and communicating the weekly reports to relevant staff members.
    • Attend weekly progress meeting to update expected legal completion dates.
    • Liaising with solicitors and the sales team to approve completion statements and ad hoc requests.
    • Input journals as required and carry out cost investigations as requested.
    • Raise Accounts Receivable invoices as required.
    • Support with collation of Audit data requirements.
    • Regular chasing and reporting of outstanding sundry debtors.
    • Monthly Sales and Marketing cost reviews.
    • Ad Hoc reporting and generation of information to support other departments.
    • Assist with production of the budgets and forecasts as required.
