Assistant Accountant
Our client is a dynamic civil engineering contractor seeking an AAT-qualified Assistant Accountant to join their busy finance team in Exeter, Devon. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment, supporting key financial functions within our growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting
- Processing invoices, reconciliations, and payroll support
- Managing VAT returns and financial reporting
- Liaising with suppliers, clients, and internal teams
Requirements:
- AAT qualification (Level 3 or 4 preferred)
- Experience in an accounting/finance role (preferably within construction or engineering)
- Strong Excel and accounting software skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
