We are currently seeking a highly organised, self-motivated Administrator to provide essential support to senior leaders within the Science and Technology Directorate. This role involves a variety of administrative activities.

Job Purpose

The Business Administrator will work closely with senior leaders to offer high-quality administrative, secretariat, and logistical support.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Secretariat Support & Diary Management: Provide comprehensive secretariat support, including diary and mailbox management, ensuring optimal use of senior management's time. Act as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling enquiries and correspondence promptly and professionally.
  • Communications: Coordinate, update, and issue Directorate and group-level communications.
  • Data & Reporting: Collate and maintain accurate data to support management reporting.
  • Event Planning: Organise and deliver high-profile events, ensuring they run smoothly within the allocated resources.
  • Process Management: Ensure adherence to governance, process reviews, and updates.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative duties for the senior leadership team, including travel and accommodation arrangements.

Essential Criteria: 

  • Demonstrable experience in supporting senior executives in a public or private sector setting. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365. 
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage tight deadlines. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters with diplomacy and discretion. 
  • Proven team player, capable of working collaboratively towards common strategic objectives.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in drafting communications on behalf of senior leaders.
